Job summary

Dar Al-Handasah (Shair and Partners) seeks an experienced BIM Coordinator – ELV to support ELV design and delivery for commercial and residential projects. You will build ELV BIM models in Revit, create CCTV and Fire Alarm models, and coordinate with Architecture, Structural, Electrical and MEP teams.

The role requires strong ELV knowledge, Revit/AutoCAD expertise and a track record of BIM coordination and clash resolution on complex building schemes.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on Revit and AutoCAD proficiency with ELV systems.
• Experience coordinating BIM models across disciplines and resolving clashes.
• Strong understanding of ELV systems and building services for commercial/residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop ELV BIM models for building projects.
• Prepare CCTV and Fire Alarm models using Revit.
• Prepare ELV drawings layouts using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate ELV with Architecture, Structure, Electrical and MEP disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using BIM tools.
• Review models for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain BIM standards, naming conventions and LOD requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, layouts, sections and details.
• Identify and resolve design/modeling issues with project teams.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary clashes.
• Support BIM Manager in maintaining project BIM deliverables and documentation.

Job Description – BIM Coordinator -ELV

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator – ELV to support the design and delivery of ELV systems for commercial and residential building projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Revit and AutoCAD, with primary expertise in CCTV and Fire Alarm systems, along with experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop ELV BIM models for commercial and residential building projects.
• Prepare and maintain detailed CCTV and Fire Alarm models using Revit.
• Prepare ELV drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate ELV services with Architectural, Structural, Electrical and MEP disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using BIM coordination tools.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure proper BIM standards, naming conventions, model organization and LOD requirements are followed.
• Prepare shop drawings, layouts, sections, details and coordinated drawings.
• Identify and resolve design/modeling issues in coordination with project teams.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve interdisciplinary clashes.
• Support the BIM Manager/Lead in maintaining project BIM deliverables and documentation.

Education
