Job summary

Techture is seeking an Assistant BIM Coordinator (Electrical) to lead electrical BIM coordination on international projects, ensuring quality deliverables and collaboration across disciplines.

You will develop and review Revit MEP and Fabrication models, perform clash detection, and mentor junior BIM staff while adhering to project BEP, LOD, and QA/QC standards. The role emphasizes efficient CDE workflows and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical BIM Modelling and Coordination.
• Familiarity with BEP, LOD, QA/QC processes.
• Experience with CDE workflows and model management.
• Ability to mentor junior BIM engineers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Electrical BIM activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review Revit MEP models in compliance with BEP, LOD, QA/QC, and client standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain Revit Fabrication models with fabrication databases.
• Perform clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination using Navisworks and Revizto.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, construction docs, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and ensure timely closure of issues.
• Maintain BIM standards, templates, and project documentation.
• Mentor BIM Engineers and support project delivery.
• Ensure model quality, compliance, and timely submission of deliverables.
• Assist in BEP development and implementation for assigned disciplines.
• Conduct regular model audits and QA/QC checks against LOD and standards.
• Support CDE workflows, including model uploads and version control.
• Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to resolve clashes.
• Track RFIs and technical queries related to design and coordination.
• Prepare coordination reports and clash logs for client review.
• Use Dynamo scripts and automation tools to streamline modelling and QA/QC tasks.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate Electrical BIM activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and review Revit MEP models in compliance with BEP, LOD, QA/QC, and client standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain Revit Fabrication models while ensuring proper use and maintenance of fabrication databases in accordance with project and industry standards.
• Perform clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination using Navisworks and Revizto.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, construction documentation, BOQs, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and ensure timely closure of coordination issues.
• Maintain BIM standards, templates, and project documentation.
• Mentor BIM Engineers and support project delivery.
• Ensure model quality, compliance, and timely submission of deliverables.
• Assist in developing and implementing the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for assigned disciplines.
• Conduct regular model audits and QA/QC checks against project LOD and modelling standards.
• Support Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, including model uploads, version control, and issue tracking.
• Coordinate with structural and architectural teams to resolve interdisciplinary clashes and design conflicts.
• Track responses to RFIs and technical queries related to design and coordination.
• Assist in preparing coordination reports and clash resolution logs for client and management review.
• Use and customize Dynamo scripts and other automation tools (e.g. pyRevit, Autodesk Forge/APS) to streamline repetitive modelling, documentation, and QA/QC tasks.

What We're Looking For

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical BIM Modelling and Coordination.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, Autodesk Revit Fabrication, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and ACC/BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of BEP, CDE, LOD, ISO 19650, and QA/QC processes.
• Working knowledge of Dynamo and/or Python scripting for BIM workflow automation.

Technical Expertise

• Power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, and cable containment/routing.
• Lighting design coordination, including lighting controls and emergency lighting systems.
• Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems: CCTV, access control, public address, and structured cabling/data networks.
• Fire alarm and detection systems, including device layout and cable routing coordination.
• Earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems.
• Standby and backup power systems (DG sets, UPS) and integration with main distribution.
• Codes and standards: NEC, IEC, BS 7671, NFPA 70/72, IEEE guidelines.
