Job summary

Zion Cloud Solutions in Hyderabad, India invites an experienced BI Project Manager to steer end-to-end BI, analytics, and data warehouse projects onsite. You will manage requirements, KPIs, user stories, and acceptance criteria while coordinating with BI developers, data engineers, and stakeholders across the US.

The role emphasizes Power BI proficiency, BI governance, and Agile delivery, with a 6-month contractual engagement and 2 PM shift hours.

Qualifications

7+ years of overall experience in IT Project Management / Delivery Management.
5+ years of experience managing BI, Analytics, Reporting, or Data Warehouse projects.
Proven experience managing projects from requirements through production deployment.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Power BI and BI development concepts.
Knowledge of Power BI semantic models, workspaces, refresh, dashboards/reports, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Strong Agile/Scrum project delivery experience.
Hands-on experience managing backlogs using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
Excellent requirements gathering and business analysis skills.
Ability to convert business requirements into KPIs, data sources, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience coordinating offshore teams with US-based business/technical stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end delivery of BI, reporting, analytics, and data warehouse projects from requirements gathering through deployment.
Manage project intake, prioritisation, backlog, sprint planning, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into KPIs, data requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Work closely with business stakeholders, BI developers, data engineers, analysts, and technical teams.
Demonstrate working knowledge of Power BI concepts, including semantic models, workspaces, data refresh, dashboards/reports, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
Understand the BI development lifecycle, including requirements, data sourcing, development, testing, UAT, deployment, and support.
Manage Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Maintain and manage project backlogs using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
Track project scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and overall delivery status.
Coordinate offshore delivery teams and effectively communicate project status, risks, and priorities to US-based stakeholders.
Ensure clear documentation of requirements, project plans, decisions, and acceptance criteria.
Identify delivery risks and proactively drive mitigation and resolution.
Support BI governance initiatives such as request intake, report certification, workspace standards, and BI processes.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced BI Project Manager to lead the delivery of Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience along with a solid understanding of Power BI, data analytics, reporting, and the BI development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Must-Have Skills

Experience working with enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, or cloud-based analytics environments.

Preferred Certifications
