Job summary

Pragati Infra Solutions is seeking a qualified candidate to manage the preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and optimize reinforcement steel usage in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Responsibilities include coordination with various teams to resolve discrepancies and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing reinforcement cutting and bending activities, obtaining approvals, and maintaining records for effective project execution. Attention to detail and strong coordination skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Bar Bending Schedules as per approved drawings.
• Quantity estimation and optimization of reinforcement steel.
• Coordination with teams for resolving discrepancies.
• Raising RFIs related to reinforcement detailing.
• Obtaining BBS approvals from Client / Consultant.
• Monitoring reinforcement cutting & bending activities.
• Ensuring proper identification and issuance of materials.
• Verification of reinforcement consumption against approved BBS.
• Preparation of reconciliation statements and wastage analysis.
• Coordination with Stores for steel requirement planning.
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety.
• Supporting billing and measurement activities.
• Maintaining progress reports related to reinforcement activities.
• Assisting site teams during inspections and audits.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparation of Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) as per approved structural drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.
• Quantity estimation and optimization of reinforcement steel to minimize wastage and improve productivity.
• Coordination with Design, Planning, QA/QC, and Execution teams for resolving drawing discrepancies and reinforcement-related issues.
• Raising, racking, and closure of RFIs related to reinforcement detailing and structural drawing clarifications.
• Obtaining BBS approvals from Client / Consultant and maintaining approved records.
• Monitoring and controlling reinforcement cutting & bending activities at reinforcement yard as per approved BBS.
• Ensuring proper identification, tagging, stacking, and issuance of cut and bent reinforcement materials.
• Verification of reinforcement consumption against approved BBS and executed quantities.
• Preparation and monitoring of reinforcement reconciliation statements, wastage analysis, and material balance reports.
• Coordination with Stores and Procurement teams for steel requirement planning and inventory management.
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and construction schedules.
• Supporting billing and measurement activities related to reinforcement quantities.
• Maintaining daily/weekly progress reports and MIS related to reinforcement activities.
• Assisting site teams during inspections, audits, and client reviews related to reinforcement works.
