Job summary

NonStop io Technologies in Pune, India, is seeking a passionate Backend Engineer (Python) to join our engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices for SaaS applications.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of Python experience, Django/Flask expertise, and hands-on work with databases, Docker, and cloud platforms. Familiarity with React is a plus, and you will collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver high‑quality

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of professional backend development experience in Python.
• Strong Django/Flask experience for SaaS and microservices.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB/SQL Server.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with React frontend is a plus.
• Good CS fundamentals and agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications and backend services.
• Develop secure, efficient, and reliable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Design and implement scalable microservices and distributed application components.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and contribute to React-based features or integrations when required.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.

• Optimize applications, APIs, databases, and backend services for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application and production issues.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-based applications.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Backend Engineer (Python) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend development, API design, scalable application architecture, and SaaS applications, along with familiarity with React and frontend technologies. Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Backend Development using Python
• Strong hands-on experience with Python backend frameworks such as Django and Flask
• Experience building and supporting SaaS applications, with exposure to microservices, caching, pub-sub, messaging technologies, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, Redshift, Nginx, and GraphQL is a plus
• Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software design principles
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong understanding of software design principles, scalable application architecture, and data structures
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with frontend technologies, particularly React
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
