Job summary

Netision Technology LLP is seeking a Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable backend applications. You will leverage Python and Node.js to build RESTful APIs and microservices on Azure with PostgreSQL as the data store.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems.
• Strong expertise in Python and Node.js with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Azure cloud services, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and scalable backends.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Netision Technology LLP is seeking a Backend Engineer with 5 + years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python and Node.js , RESTful API development, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Azure cloud services, and CI/CD automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) and Node.js .
  
• Build secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.
  
• Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  
• Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.
  
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using industry best practices.
  
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability for production environments.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently.
  
• Deploy and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure App Services and other Azure services.
  
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions .
  
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and project managers.
  
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and continuous improvement.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes .
  
• Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
  
• Knowledge of Redis for caching.
  
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ , Kafka , or Azure Service Bus .
  
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
  
• Experience working on enterprise-scale applications.
  
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and API testing tools.
  
• Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting technical code reviews.
