Job summary

Salt is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to design and build scalable backend services and APIs. You will work on high-impact systems powering core product experiences, with ownership of technical solutions and hands-on coding.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver seamless experiences and ensure reliable, observable systems. The role emphasizes designing scalable services, participating in design reviews, and driving quality through testing and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Ruby and Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, REST/GraphQL APIs, and event queues.
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
