Job summary

Credopay is seeking a seasoned backend engineer to lead Go-based microservices. You will design scalable services, implement RESTful APIs, and drive performance improvements in a fintech environment.

You will mentor developers, perform design/code reviews, and ensure robust testing, tracing, and deployment practices using Docker/Kubernetes in cloud setups.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in backend software development, with strong hands-on experience in Go (Golang).
• Strong proficiency in Go, including interfaces, structs, pointers, error handling, packages, modules, generics, and idiomatic Go development.
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency patterns, including goroutines, channels, context propagation, synchronization primitives, worker pools, and graceful shutdown.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, conducting design/code reviews, mentoring developers, and driving engineering best practices.
• Proficient understanding of Git, code review practices, unit testing, integration testing, mocking, and test-driven development principles.
• Experience with Go ORM/data-access frameworks such as GORM, Ent, or SQL-based libraries such as sqlx/database/sql.
• Experience with database performance tuning, execution plans, indexing strategies, connection management, and handling high-volume transactional workloads.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and caching/data-store technologies such as Redis.
• Strong understanding of ORM concepts including entity/model mapping, relationships, transactions, migrations, eager/lazy loading, query optimization, and avoiding N+1 query problems.
• Experience with Go ORM/data-access frameworks such as GORM, Ent, or SQL-based libraries such as sqlx/database/sql.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, including schema design, indexing, transactions, joins, query optimization, and connection pooling.
• Experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or other service-to-service communication mechanisms is desirable.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, observability, logging, and performance monitoring.
• Experience in the FinTech or payment solutions domain is advantageous.
• Experience with payment switch applications, ISO 8583, transaction processing, and payment integrations.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, retries, timeouts, idempotency, circuit breakers, and fault tolerance.


• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms, including producers, consumers, consumer groups, partitioning, offset management, and delivery semantics.


• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, including schema design, indexing, transactions, joins, query optimization, and connection pooling.
