Job summary

Infobell It Solutions is seeking a Backend Engineer to join a cross-functional team in Pune. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, delivering scalable features and high-quality, secure code while collaborating with multiple teams and clients.

You will work with Java, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes in a microservices environment on GCP, using Terraform for IaC and handling PostgreSQL/Cassandra databases. English communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java experience and passion for scalable test and deployment automation with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 7+ years experience with GCP and knowledge of IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and Cassandra).
• 7+ years experience with Spring and multi-service architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a cross-functional product team to deliver functionalities and provide support.
• Participate in all software engineering phases from inception to delivery and operation.
• Develop high quality code following best practices and clean code principles.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and launch new features across infrastructure layers.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and advise accordingly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Collaborating in a cross functional product team and with other teams on solving customer problems by delivering product functionalities and support;
• Being involved in all phases of software engineering, from inception to coding, testing, delivery and operation;
• Developing high quality code that follows best practices and clean code principles;
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security and performance;
• Collaborating with other engineers or team members on various layers of the infrastructure, in order to design and launch new features;
• Interacting with the client in order to understand and characterize their needs and advise them if necessary.

Qualifications

Required key competencies and qualifications:

• You have profound knowledge in programming language such as Java (7+ years of experience) as well as enthusiasm for automating and automatically scaling tests and deployments (with Docker and Kubernetes)
• You have fun solving complex business and technical problems and you want to work in a team that shares this ambition with you
• You have 7+ years experience with GCP and knowledge of IaC (Terraform)
• You want to develop yourself constantly and you love to make our digital world a little bit better every day
• You are interested in splitting large projects into small, manageable subprojects with microservices
• You have experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL and Cassandra)
• You have 7+ years experience with Spring.
