Agentic Academy Labs is building AI-powered learning experiences. As a Backend Developer Intern, you will develop APIs, data services, and server-side logic for our education platform.

You may work with Bun or Node.js, and collaborate with engineers, product contributors, and education teams while receiving mentorship. This hands-on internship focuses on API design, PostgreSQL schemas, authentication, authorization, and secure backend practices.

Competenze

• Experience designing and building REST APIs with TypeScript.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, sessions, and JWTs.
• Comfort with PostgreSQL and writing efficient queries.
• Ability to write tests, validate inputs, and follow security best practices.
• Experience reviewing code via GitHub pull requests.

About the Role

Agentic Academy Labs is building AI-powered learning experiences that help students learn modern technology through practical projects. As a Backend Developer Intern, you will build the services, APIs, and data systems behind our education platform.

This is a hands-on engineering internship focused on APIs, PostgreSQL, authentication, authorization, and server-side business logic. You may work with a Bun or Node.js backend, depending on the project and existing platform architecture. You will collaborate with developers, product contributors, and education teams while receiving guidance from experienced engineers.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs using TypeScript with Bun or Node.js
• Create PostgreSQL tables, relationships, migrations, and efficient queries
• Implement authentication and authorization features such as signup, login, sessions, JWTs, and role-based access
• Convert product requirements into reliable server logic for courses, learner progress, assessments, and AI-enabled learning features
• Add input validation, structured error handling, logging, and security best practices
• Write unit and integration tests to improve API reliability
• Review code, respond to feedback, and contribute through GitHub pull requests
• Document endpoints, database decisions, setup instructions, and technical trade-offs
• Debug issues across the application, database, and API layers
