Job summary

Clinikally is seeking a Backend Engineer Intern to contribute to scalable backend services, APIs, and real-world projects powering Clinikally's digital health and e-commerce platform. You will work with the engineering team to build and improve backend systems in a fast-paced startup.

You will gain hands-on experience with modern backend technologies, system architecture, and production-level engineering while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Good understanding of Python and/or TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge of REST APIs, databases and backend development concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work on real-world engineering challenges.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and TypeScript.
• Support backend systems for teleconsultations, e-commerce, and logistics workflows.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage and retrieval.
• Assist in integrating backend services with third-party APIs and internal applications.
• Identify, debug, and resolve technical issues with guidance from senior engineers.
