Job summary

SME Futures, part of The Guild Media Network, seeks a dynamic B2B Journalist/Correspondent to tell the real stories behind India’s SMEs. You’ll write long-form features on SME finance, policy shifts, and technology, and interview founders, policymakers, and industry leaders.

On-ground reporting across manufacturing hubs and SME clusters, plus collaboration with our multimedia team to produce videos, infographics, and podcasts. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of journalism experience in business, finance, or B2B reporting.
  • A degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or Business (or equivalent).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple stories and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for on-ground reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Tell impactul stories: write long-form features on SME finance, policy changes, innovation, and tech adoption.
  • Investigate & research: stay ahead of trends, analyze reports, craft data-backed narratives.
  • Interview game changers: speak with SME founders, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • On-ground reporting: visit manufacturing hubs, tech incubators, and SME clusters.
  • Collaborate on digital content: work with multimedia team to add videos, infographics, and podcasts.
  • Be a thought leader: attend industry events and network with business minds.

Requirements
