Job summary

Algae Services is seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance across Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru.

The role requires hands-on expertise with AVD, Microsoft Azure, PowerShell scripting, FSLogix, and monitoring tools, with 24x7 shift coverage and a focus on reliable remote or on-site access as part of a modern cloud platform team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Windows 11 multi-session environments.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of FSLogix profile management and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Entra ID, and RBAC.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage Windows 11 multi-session pooled and personal desktop environments.
• Manage AVD host pools, application groups, workspaces, and session hosts.
• Perform user onboarding, offboarding, and application publishing.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management using ARM Templates, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Manage desktop images, patching, and session host lifecycle activities.
• Monitor infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, and AVD Insights.
• Administer FSLogix profile containers and troubleshoot profile-related issues.
• Troubleshoot login failures, application access, session host availability, and performance issues.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID groups, RBAC permissions, and access controls.
• Optimize scaling plans, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
