Job summary

Cognizant in Chennai seeks an experienced Azure/.NET Architect to translate business objectives into scalable reference architectures aligned with enterprise principles. You will own the Azure .NET architecture including domain boundaries, API design, resilience and observability, with a focus on security by design.

Role requires strong knowledge of .NET 8+ and Azure services, DevOps practices, and IaC (Bicep/Terraform). You will collaborate on data flows, IAM, and cloud-native patterns at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure platform services including AKS and App Service.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET 8+ ASP.NET Core.
• Knowledge of IAM and identity management.
• Experience with IaC (Bicep, Terraform) and release pipelines.
• Understanding of SQL Server and Azure SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own the application reference architecture for Azure .NET: domain boundaries, integration patterns, API design, resilience, observability, data flows and IAM.
• Azure application platform: Azure Functions, App Service, AKS, Container Apps, API Management, Service Bus, Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, App Insights & Log Analytics, Azure Monitor.
• Identity & access: Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC/OAuth2), Managed Identities, CA, B2B/B2C approaches.
• DevOps & platform engineering: Azure DevOps pipelines, IaC with Bicep/Terraform, release strategies, test automation.
• Security: Zero Trust, Azure security baseline, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel integration.

Job Summary

Translate business objectives into clear solution designs roadmaps and reference architectures aligned to enterprise Architecture Principles (business driven fit for scale open portable by default security & privacy by design cloud native & scalable transparency & communication user centric & operable).

• Own the application reference architecture for Azure .NET: domain boundaries integration patterns API design resilience observability data flows and IAM.

Responsibilities

NET & C# .NET 8+ ASP.NET Core strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.8 for legacy estates.

• Azure application platform: Azure Functions App Service Azure Kubernetes Service AKS Container Apps Azure API Management Service Bus Storage (Blob Queue Table) Azure SQL SQL Server Key Vault App Insights & Log Analytics Azure Monitor

Azure networking VNets subnets NSGs ASGs Private Endpoints Private Link VNet Integration hybrid connectivity (VPN ExpressRoute) and routing fundamentals.

• Identity & access: Microsoft Entra ID (OIDC OAuth2) Managed Identities Conditional Access role modelling and B2B B2C approaches.
• DevOps & platform engineering: Azure DevOps (git branching pipelines YAML) Infrastructure as Code (Bicep Terraform) release strategies test automation.
• Data: SQL Server 12.0 (SQL Server 2014) and Azure SQL performance/ HA patterns understanding of data classification retention and lineage in solution designs.
