Cognizant in Chennai is seeking an experienced Azure Network Engineer to lead secure cloud networking architectures and operations. The role demands 6–9 years of hands-on experience and immediate joiner availability.

You will design, implement, and optimize services like VNets, Private Link, ExpressRoute, and DNS, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with vendors and Microsoft support to resolve incidents.

Responsibilities

• Architect and support secure Azure networking architectures such as Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, Landing Zones, and segmentation.
• Manage and optimize Azure networking services including VNets, Firewall, Application Gateway, Front Door, Load Balancer, DNS Private Resolver, and Private Link.
• Design and manage Site-to-Site VPN, Point-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, and VNet peering with on-prem integration.
• Configure NSGs, Firewall policies, WAF, DDoS Protection, Route Tables, and Private Networking.
• Automate deployments using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI; support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues; perform RCA and implement long-term solutions.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers and maintaining runbooks and standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and Microsoft support to resolve critical incidents.

Primary Skill: Azure Networking Services

Location: Chennai

Azure Network Engineer Key Responsibilities:

1. Strong knowledge and support in secure Azure networking architectures, including Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, Landing Zones, and network segmentation.
2. Manage and optimize Azure networking services such as VNets, Virtual WAN, Azure Firewall, Firewall Manager, Application Gateway (WAF), Front Door, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, Private Link, Private Endpoints, DNS Private Resolver, and Azure Bastion.
3. Design and manage Site-to-Site VPN, Point-to-Site VPN, ExpressRoute, BGP Routing, VNet Peering, and Global VNet Peering, while integrating on-premises and Azure environments.
4. Configure and maintain NSGs, Azure Firewall Policies, WAF, DDoS Protection, Route Tables, and Private Networking solutions.
5. Automate network deployments using Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
6. Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
7. Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, participating in architecture reviews, and maintaining networking standards, documentation, and operational runbooks.
8. Collaborate with vendors and Microsoft support teams to resolve critical incidents.
