Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in India is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Administrator to deploy and manage Azure Stack HCI based hybrid cloud environments, Hyper-V clusters, and S2D storage. You will integrate on‑premises infrastructure with Azure via Azure Arc and automate with PowerShell and IaC.

Responsibilities include monitoring, backup/DR, troubleshooting, and collaborating with security and operations teams to ensure high availability and governance.

Qualifications

• 512 years of experience in infrastructure administration, virtualization, and hybrid cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI).
• Expertise in Windows Server, Hyper‑V, Failover Clustering, and Storage Spaces Direct (S2D).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer Azure Local (Azure Stack HCI) environments.
• Design and maintain highly available Hyper-V clusters and storage infrastructure.
• Integrate on-premises environments with Azure through Azure Arc.
• Configure and manage Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and software-defined networking solutions.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security using Azure-native and enterprise monitoring tools.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and operational tasks using PowerShell and IaC methodologies.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and failover solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware, storage, networking, and virtualization-related issues.
• Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, governance, and security policies.
• Perform capacity planning, patch management, and lifecycle management activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support teams.

Job Requirements*

• 512 years of experience in infrastructure administration, virtualization, and hybrid cloud technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Local (formerly Azure Stack HCI).

• Strong knowledge of networking concepts including VLANs, SDN, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, and network security.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and System Center.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across compute, storage, networking, and cluster environments.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
• Familiarity with security best practices, identity management, and Microsoft Defender solutions.
