Job Title: Senior Operations Engineer

Job Description: We seek a dynamic Senior Operations Engineer, proficient in tools and systems including Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Datadog, Low Code automation tools like Tines Automation or Power Automate, and vCenter, Cisco Meraki, Cisco vManage, Okta, SharePoint, Morpheus, Patch management tools such as SCCM, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD. The successful candidate will manage and enhance our operational systems for optimal efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain servers, networks, and storage solutions both on-premises and cloud-based
Administer technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, cloud services, and on-premises environments
Implement and monitor system upgrades, patches, and backups
Ensure IT policy and industry standard compliance
Monitor system performance and reliability using tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or equivalent.
Develop and implement automation strategies, employing scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Ansible for system efficiency
Monitor system performance and ensure that the technology stack operates efficiently, identifying opportunities for optimization and proactive issue resolution.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime
Optimize resources and system configurations for improved performance
Coordinate with the security team for system security and integrity
Maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Ensure regulatory standards compliance, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001
Conduct patch management tasks, including planning and performing software upgrades using tools like Ansible
Manage cloud environments like Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
Administer virtualized environments using VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms
Oversee and monitor the day-to-day operations of our systems including but not limited to Datadog, vCenter, and Cisco Meraki
Perform regular system monitoring using tools like Datadog
Lead incident management using Datadog to troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
Take responsibility for advanced administration tasks on platforms such as Okta, SharePoint, and Purview
Manage complex workflows and automate tasks using Tines Automation or Power Automate
Collaborate with internal teams, including development, IT support, and other operations teams, to ensure seamless integration of new systems and services
Coordinate with IT departments to meet business objectives and ensure system efficiency
Create and update operational and incident management procedures and documentation
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting in skill development and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry best practices, suggesting new tools or processes for better system outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT services with business objectives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field
5–8 years of experience in IT systems administration or operations roles
Proven experiences with specific enterprise IT systems and cloud platforms
Knowledge and hands-on experiences with specific tools such as Datadog, Ansible, Power Automate, SCCM, SCOM etc.
Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM templates
Familiarity with patch management tools such as Ansible or SCCM
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring system performance metrics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good understanding of Azure management tools
Professional certifications in Azure cloud platform are a plus
Demonstrate continuous learning and a proactive approach to skill enhancement, embracing challenges as opportunities for personal and professional growth in a dynamic, evolving field.
Communication skills in English for effective collaboration and documentation
Certification or equivalent knowledge in Azure (AZ-104 or similar cloud certifications)

The Senior Operations Engineer will demonstrate proficiency in large scale organizational system structures, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of the specific tools as listed above.
