Job summary

A prestigious engineering firm is seeking AWS Certified Welders to join their team in Dahej, Gujarat. Candidates must have over 10 years of experience in welding and fabrication, as well as a Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. The role involves performing welding tasks, ensuring quality and safety standards, and coordinating with supervisors. Immediate joiners are preferred. The contract duration is 6 months, with responsibilities including managing tools, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the QC team.

Qualifications

• AWS Certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in welding & fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of codes: ASME, AWS, EN ISO.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, EN ISO codes.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or fabrication shop floor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding as per approved WPS and drawings.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in welding work.
• Handle fabrication and fit-up activities.
• Maintain proper use of tools and welding equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and PPE guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors and QC team.

Skills

Expertise in welding processes: SMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW, GMAW

Knowledge of welding joints: Groove, Fillet, Weld Overlay

Strong understanding of: Welding defects & troubleshooting

Material experience: CS, LAS, SS, DSS, Inconel

Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings

Basic computer knowledge (MS Office)
