Job summary

Digit Insurance is seeking a CloudOps Engineer to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP from Bengaluru. You will monitor uptime, support deployments, and drive incident resolution for high-availability applications.

The role requires Linux administration, scripting, and strong knowledge of networking, IAM, and monitoring tools. On-call rotations may be required, with a focus on security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with scripting languages (Shell, Python, or PowerShell).
• Understanding of networking concepts (VPC/VNet, VPN, load balancers, DNS).
• Good knowledge of incident management and operational best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Ensure cloud environments adhere to security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Support deployments and releases in collaboration with DevOps and Engineering teams.
• Handle patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document operational procedures, runbooks, and incident reports.
• Participate in oncall support and production issue handling as required.

Role Overview

The Cloud Operations (CloudOps) Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency of cloudbased systems.
