Overview
Opportunity in the IT Services & Cloud Infrastructure sector — focused on managed cloud operations, systems reliability, and platform engineering for enterprise workloads. This is an on-site role based in India supporting production AWS environments, infrastructure automation, and Linux systems administration. Primary title (best-performing on LinkedIn): AWS Cloud Engineer.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, Route 53) across environments using Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Author and maintain IaC templates and modules with Terraform and CloudFormation; review and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
- Perform Linux systems administration including patching, user and process management, capacity planning, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Automate operational tasks and incident remediation using Bash and Python scripts plus configuration management with Ansible.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and observability (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana); create runbooks and lead incident troubleshooting to restore service quickly.
- Enforce security best practices: IAM policy design, security groups, encryption, vulnerability remediation and compliance checks.
