Responsibilities

• Support execution of debt facilities including drafting term sheets and review of related documents
• Support execution of advisory/debt structuring transactions; prepare information memorandums, financial models and proposals for lenders
• Coordinate with external consultants and manage financing to achieve financial close
• Support senior staff to develop and maintain client relationships and originate project/ acquisition finance opportunities
• Participate in portfolio reviews and assist in new strategies/initiatives as required

  • Undertaking risk and financial analysis entailing running sensitivities and scenarios in financial model.

• Support execution of advisory/debt structuring transactions entailing drafting of information memorandum, preparing of financial model, preparing proposals for approaching lenders, coordinating with external consultants, coordinating the financing on behalf of client, and ensuring financial close is achieved.
• Support senior staff to develop and maintain client relationships in line with the agreed sector and/or market strategy and risk appetite of the department with the view to originating project / acquisition finance opportunities as well as to maximise ancillary business for SMBC
• Support senior members in the preparation / execution of new strategies / initiatives. Participate in portfolio reviews as required.

Profile description

To support origination and lead execution of Project Finance (advisory/lending) and Structured Finance deals involving marketing, credit analysis, diligence, negotiation of term sheets and execution and completion of the necessary documentation to achieve financial close, in line with SMBC’s 5 values. Also, support senior staff and rest of the team on origination activties.
