Job summary

Crescendo Global Leadership Hiring India, Mumbai, seeks an AVP Governance, Risk & Controls to lead risk management, controls, audits and governance within Asset Management Technology. You will work closely with technology teams and senior leaders to ensure processes are strong and risks are well managed.

This senior role requires 12+ years of experience, with at least 7 years in investments/asset management, and a graduate degree. The position is hybrid with office-based collaboration in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of risk, controls, and reporting.
• Good knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycle and Agile ways of working.
• Experience in a Governance, Risk or Controls role.
• Knowledge of operational risk frameworks.
• Familiarity with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) control processes.
• Ensure technology controls are working properly across platforms.
• Embed strong governance practices across delivery teams.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and create action plans to reduce risks.
• Track and report on Key Control Indicators.
• Manage Tech Debt and End-of-Service-Life items so platforms stay reliable.
• Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and support testing exercises.
• Identify control gaps across platforms and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits related to Delivery Platforms.
• Prepare clear reports and present them to senior management.
• Influence senior stakeholders while balancing risk and business needs.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Delivery & Management Office team within Asset Management Technology.

You will help keep our technology platforms safe and well-run by managing risks, controls, audits, and governance. You will work closely with technology teams, auditors, and senior leaders to ensure processes are strong, risks are managed, and the business runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and improve Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) control processes
• Ensure technology controls are working properly across platforms
• Embed strong governance practices across delivery teams
• Conduct regular risk assessments and create action plans to reduce risks

Work Arrangement
