Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking a professional for design, development and verification of safety-critical real-time embedded software for avionics applications in line with DO-178 B/C standards.

The role covers requirements creation, module design and development, unit and integration testing, and software integration across software and hardware interfaces. Strong collaboration and adherence to safety-critical processes are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience across full software lifecycle: requirements to verification.
• Experience with embedded software design, interfaces and algorithms.
• Experience with software verification and validation in industrialized domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify safety-critical real-time embedded software for avionics.
• Create software requirements, design modules, and perform unit/integration testing.
• Coordinate software integration (software–software and software–hardware) and issue analysis.

Job Description:

A. Main responsibilities

The jobholder will be responsible for design & development, verification & validation of Safety critical Real time Embedded software for avionics application conforming to DO 178 B/C standards.

B. Main activities

The jobholder will be responsible for software development activities (from Specification to Verification of software) including:

• Creation of software requirements
• Design and implementation of software modules
• Unit level verification of software modules
• Integration of software modules
• Integration testing (software - software & software - Hardware)
• Analysis of issues raised either during testing campaigns or in-service usage
• Verification & Validation of software modules

C. Skills

Experience in full software lifecycle encompassing Software requirements Definition, Dynamic & Static Design, Coding and verification activities in industrialized domains.

‘Must have’ skills:

• Hands on experience on
  • Embedded software requirements engineering and Architecture (Static and Dynamic)
  • Design and development (module level design, interfaces, algorithm)
  • Embedded Programming
  • Unit and integration testing (host & target environment)
  • Software configuration management
• Knowledge about standards (requirements / design / coding)
• Knowledge about RTOS
• Strong inter personnel skills

‘Good to have’ skills:

• Work experience on DO 178 standard
• Project Management skills
• Knowledge about avionics systems and network
