Job summary

Gionik Human Capital Solutions in Bangalore is seeking an Avionics Lead Engineer with 10-17 years of experience to lead design, development, verification and validation of safety-critical real-time embedded software for avionics helicopters conforming to DO-178B/C.

The role requires module design, requirements engineering, software configuration, and coordination with testing and flight activities while mentoring a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with embedded software requirements engineering and architecture (static and dynamic).
• Design and development at module level, interfaces and algorithms.
• Embedded programming.
• Unit and integration testing (host and target).
• Software configuration management—requirements, design, coding standards.
• Basic understanding of RTOS.
• Experience with DO-178 standard compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of software modules for avionics systems.

Job Description:

• Main responsibilities: The jobholder will be responsible for design & development, verification & validation of safety‑critical real‑time embedded software for avionics applications conforming to DO 178 B/C standard for Avionics Helicopters.
• Main activities: The jobholder will be responsible for software development activities:
  • Design and implementation of software modules.
  • Spearhead the requirement engineering activity (gather system requirements, analyse and document software requirements).
  • Design and implementation of software configuration.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in resolving technical issues—troubleshooting issues reported by system testing, simulator testing, flight test, in‑service issues.
  • Unit level verification of software modules, integration testing (software‑software & software‑hardware).
  • Lead and mentor a team for design/development/testing/interface activities.
  • Skills: Experience in full software lifecycle encompassing software requirements definition, dynamic & static design, coding, and verification activities in industrialised domains.
