Description

The AV Lead at Amazon serves as a pivotal creative force, blending advanced video editing skills with expertise in motion graphics and sound design. This role influences peers, producers, QA teams, stakeholders, and external partners, taking ownership of high-impact creative projects and driving innovative solutions. The specialist creates and maintains SOPs, develops new templates, and establishes workflows for untested asset types, all while balancing production work with mentoring responsibilities. They are expected to work independently, making creative decisions that enhance asset appeal and improve customer experience.

With high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Audition, the AV Lead delivers work that seamlessly integrates video editing with motion graphics and complex audio executions. They impact stakeholder satisfaction, team goals, and organizational projects through their creative input and process improvements. The role requires excellent communication skills to present data, conduct training sessions, and interact directly with stakeholders for creative decisions. This position demands at least 6-8 years of relevant experience, demonstrated through a strong portfolio, and the ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Create and edit complex video content, blending video editing with motion graphics and audio design
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and SOPs while partnering with management
• Execute high-impact audiovisual projects, including trailer cutdowns, H1 videos, multi-title assets, and other defined video deliverables
• Oversee complex, high-priority and AdHoc audiovisual requests
• Build and influence relationships across multiple teams including QA, Producers, Managers, Art Directors, and editors
• Handle multiple project deadlines while maintaining and improving quality standards
• Make creative decisions to up-level results and offer innovative solutions to increase asset appeal
• Actively seek to improve and share AV skills, including motion graphics, animation, and sound design
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition)
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet tight deadlines while balancing productive work with specialist tasks
• Coordinate with art directors and resolve cross-regional/LOBs design conflicts for Global campaigns
• Provide mentorship and guidance to production AV editors
• Conduct post-mortem analyses and manage escalations
• Support the intake process by monitoring production timelines, defining workflows, documenting content for SOPs and training. Facilitating new product launches.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Experience working for or with Creative Agencies
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
• Minimum 6 years of professional audiovisual production experience
• Outstanding portfolio demonstrating strong video editing and motion graphics capabilities (link required)
• Advanced motion graphics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with project management
• Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and implementing them in creative ways
• Experience with asset management, design workflows, or partnering with creative teams
• Knowledge of Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Advanced sound design expertise
• Experience with emerging audiovisual technologies and trends, i.e. VR/AR.
