Job summary

Amazon Advertising is looking for a talented Visual Designer to join the creative service team based in Bangalore, India. You will translate business goals into inspiring visual direction and design mid-to-high complexity visuals for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a consistent shopping experience.

You will work closely with marketing teams to bring ideas to life, drive new lines of business, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to raise the design bar.

Qualifications

You will work closely with marketing teams to create and bring ideas to life to help drive new lines of business, such us new clients, brands, placements or design compositions. Prior experience in an agency or media environment creating advertisements for global brands is required. You have to be passionate about visual design that impacts customer experience, and deliver world-class graphic solutions. As a candidate you need to have a comprehensive understanding of design processes and tools, specifically for graphic production, along with an expertise in digital marketing. Additionally, you should have a keen eye for detail, and an excellent ability to communicate. The role will represent the challenge to look for new creative opportunities and elevate the team design bar. You will be equally effective at concept and execution, articulating end-to-end experiences, and turn that vision into high-quality design deliverables.

Key job responsibilities

• Responsible for their own design queue and the design process of medium-complexity design executions (includes key arts, reference provided, and high traffic event requests).
• Advanced knowledge on design principles, user experience, visual accessibility, and design thinking.
• Ability to think and respond quickly and to multi-task and work efficiently with careful attention to detail.
• Accountable for end-to-end creative development and quality on advertising campaigns.
• Creates original concepts and designs with guidance from Art Directors.
• Address the strategy and client needs, as defined in the creative brief, through creative ideation and campaign development.
• Ensures design accuracy, adherence to brand tone and guidelines, Amazon templates and style guides on all deliverables.
• Collaborates across disciplines with team members at all levels.
• Proactively escalates blockers, issues, and risks to the manager in a timely manner.
• Lead team-level initiatives.
• Able to communicate design rationale to stakeholders and advocate on behalf of the customer when it comes to policy and quality.
• Demonstrates expertise in Amazon specs and policy and able to influence stakeholders. 13. Demonstrates bar-raising creative problem-solving and strategic thinking that drives benefits for the internal team, stakeholders, or customer.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree within last 12 months in graphic design, interactive design, or equivalent
• Experience: 4+ years as a designer in a creative agency or similar creative production environment
• AI Proficiency: Proficient in AI tools
• Portfolio: A remarkable portfolio demonstrating excellence in composition and execution at the desired level (link included on resume)
• Software Skills: Exceptional proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office
• Design Mastery: Color theory, typography, and graphics file creation optimized for digital media
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail
• Adaptability: Able to deal with ambiguity and multi-task
• Time Management: Strong time management, team-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines
• Self-Starter: Proactive, customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player
• Environment: Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Visual design / hands-on design professional with expert knowledge in advanced Photoshop and After Effects

• Experience defining or maintaining design style guides
• Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts
• Expert understanding of graphics creation and manipulation optimized for palette, size, and speed of download
• Proven ability to work for multiple teams across a broad range of products, synthesize feedback and input from product teams, copywriters, and marketers
• Motion graphics and video editing skills
