Job summary

Idexcel in Chennai is seeking an Automotive Lighting Components Design Engineer with 3–8 years of experience to design head lamps, tail lamps, DRLs, fog lamps and light guides.

You will create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in Siemens NX, support packaging studies, and coordinate with styling, electronics, optical, manufacturing and suppliers through development and release.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive lighting design and development.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX and GD&T.
• Strong capability to create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive lighting components such as Head Lamps, Tail Lamps, DRLs, Fog Lamps, and Light Guides.
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using NX.
• Work on packaging studies, feasibility checks, and design modifications.
• Coordinate with Styling, Electronics, Optical, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams.
• Support prototype development, validation, testing, and production launch activities.
• Manage engineering changes and product releases.
