Job summary

FIS is seeking an experienced Automation Testing professional for the OPF team within Global Testing. The role targets EMEA clients and requires leading QA engagements, building automation frameworks, and mentoring a small team of QAs.

You will develop and maintain automation scripts for UI and API tests, coordinate with Delivery Managers, and drive testing excellence across processes and tools. This position emphasizes hands-on automation as well as team leadership.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years of QA/software testing experience.
• Hands-on automation development for UI and API test cases.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch and improving existing ones.
• Proficiency with multiple API/UI automation tools and scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing engagements and manage a small QA team.
• Coordinate with Delivery and Project Managers to meet testing deliverables.
• Raise and track defects in Jira and drive them to closure.
• Mentor junior QA team members and drive automation improvements.
• Develop, maintain and upgrade automated test scripts and utilities.
• Conduct functional and automated testing on end-to-end payment systems.

AUTOMATION TESTING with Payments Domain

9-12 years

About the team:

This position is for our OPF team. FIS Open Payment Framework (OPF) within the Global Testing Chapter.

The Global Testing Chapter is a crossregional quality engineering community responsible for defining and evolving common testing standards, practices, and capabilities across Enterprise Payments. The team drives excellence across functional testing, automation, metrics, and emerging areas such as AI in QA, while supporting consistent delivery outcomes across regions. It operates as a collaborative chapter modelbalancing handson project delivery with continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and capability uplift across the global testing workforce.

The project targeted for this role will be EMEA clients.

What you will be doing:

• Assistin improving testing processes.
• Leading testing engagements and managing a small team of QAs
• Work with the Delivery Manager and Project Manager to ensure testing deliverables at completed within a specifictimeframe.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Managinganddrivingdefect triage meetings.
• Assistand mentor junior team members.
• Drive automation testing improvements and enhancements.
• Develop,maintainand upgrade manualandautomated test scripts, utilities, simulators, data sets and other programmatic test toolsrequiredto execute testcases.
• Performfunctional and automatedtestingon end-to-end payment systems.
• Effectively communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written forms.
• Controls and manages own daily test activities.
• Organizes andmaintainsthe test script library.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
• Raise clear and detailed defects in Jira.
• Work with various stakeholders to provide information and push the defects to a closed state.

What you bring:

• Minimum 9 to 12years of related experience in QA / software testing space.
• Minimum 10years of Automated testing experience for both UI and API test cases.
• Experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience in extending and improving existing automation frameworks.
• Experience withmultipleAPI automation test tool(Postman, RestAssured, Karate, SOAPUI, cucumber, etc)
• Experience withmultipleUI automation(Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot framework, etc)
• Hands on automation test development experience with at least 1 scripting / coding language(Java, Python, C#, Javascript, etc)
• Ability to debug automated test cases to derive the failure root cause.
• Experience using source control (GIT, SVN)
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale test management tool.
• Experience preparing test cases and test plans with an automation mentality.
• Ability to provide testing estimates.
• Experience using CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo,AzureDevops) to
• Experience with cloud and container tools (AWS, Kubernetes, etc)
• Navigate automation builds.
• Investigating automation build issues.
