Job summary

TVS Next is actively seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Chennai team. The role requires 2–4 years of hands-on testing and automation experience, with strong C#, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, and Page Object Model skills.

The engineer will design and execute automated and manual test cases, implement BDD with SpecFlow, perform API and SQL testing, and collaborate in an Agile environment. Hybrid/onsite work is possible in Chennai.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in C#, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, and Page Object Model.
• Knowledge of SQL, API testing, Git, and Azure-based test case management.
• Experience designing, creating, and executing functional, regression, and integration test cases; exposure to modern automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and execute automated and manual test cases based on defined test plans.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using C#, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, and Page Object Model.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing and validate application behavior across scenarios.
• Create and maintain test cases, test results, and test reports using Azure-based test case management.
• Develop BDD test scenarios using Gherkin and implement automation using SpecFlow.
• Perform API testing using Postman and RestSharp.
• Validate application data using SQL and perform database-related testing.
• Identify, interact with, and validate web elements using appropriate locators and handle browser interactions.
• Maintain test automation code using Git and collaborate with development and QA teams.
• Explore GitHub Copilot, Copilot tools, and MCP integration to improve productivity.
• Prepare and maintain test cases, results, reports, and security patch reports as required.
• Participate in sprint planning, progress reviews, and testing discussions with stakeholders.

About The Job

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in software testing and test automation. What We Seek In You

• 2–4 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer or in a similar QA automation role.


• Strong hands‑on expertise in C#, Selenium WebDriver, NUnit, and Page Object Model.


• Good understanding of functional, regression, and integration testing with hands‑on experience in test case design and execution.


• Strong knowledge of Gherkin and SpecFlow/BDD frameworks.


• Good knowledge of SQL and database handling for application validation.


• Experience with API testing, including tools such as Postman and RestSharp.


• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC and software testing methodologies.


• Hands‑on experience with Git for source control and automation code collaboration.


• Experience working with Visual Studio or similar IDEs.


• Good understanding of web elements, locators, browser interactions, and web application testing.


• Exposure to GitHub Copilot, Copilot tools, and MCP integration for test automation.


• Strong analytical, debugging, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to AI‑assisted test automation using GitHub Copilot or similar tools.


• Experience with MCP integration for test automation.


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.


• Exposure to automated security patch validation and reporting.


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
