Job Title: Automation Tester (1 - 2 Years Experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Automation Tester with 1 year of hands-on experience in software automation testing. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing and maintaining automation scripts, executing automated tests, and ensuring software quality across web, mobile, or desktop applications. As an Automation Tester, you will work closely with the QA team to improve the testing process and ensure the reliability and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web and/or mobile applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product) to understand testing requirements and automate relevant test cases.

Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Perform regression testing, performance testing, and smoke testing to ensure quality and stability.

Identify, record, and track defects using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

Review test results, provide actionable insights, and work with the development team to address issues.

Assist in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline to ensure automated tests are executed during each build.

Stay updated with the latest testing trends and tools, ensuring the team leverages the best practices.

Maintain and update test scripts to adapt to changes in application functionality.

Skills And Qualifications

1+ year of experience in automation testing (both functional and regression tests).

Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar.

Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git and collaboration tools such as JIRA.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Knowledge of software testing methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.

Experience with manual testing (for writing test cases, understanding requirements).

Ability to create clear and comprehensive test documentation and reports.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Desirable Skills

Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.

Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.

Knowledge of mobile application testing (Android/iOS) using tools like Appium or Selendroid.

Basic understanding of database queries and experience with SQL.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
