Job summary

Resillion seeks a passionate Automation Test Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in test automation using Playwright and TypeScript. You will build and maintain automated test suites for web and API applications, leveraging AI-assisted tools to boost efficiency and quality.

You will collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive automation coverage, participate in CI/CD processes, and maintain robust test documentation and reports. Hybrid role in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing and REST services.
• Understanding of Git, pull requests, version control, and code review practices.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of test automation design patterns such as Page Object Model.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Contribute to enhancement of automation frameworks, reusable utilities, test data management, and reporting capabilities.
• Develop REST API test cases using Playwright request context and validate authentication workflows, response structures, and error scenarios.
• Utilise AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate test creation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define automation coverage.
• Support investigation and resolution of test failures and flaky test scenarios.
• Participate in CI/CD integration activities and maintain automated execution pipelines.
• Maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect tracking information.
• Follow automation best practices, coding standards, and review AI-generated code before implementation.
