Job summary

United Industries Plastic Pvt Ltd is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to design, develop, and commission automation systems. You will work with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, implementing robust control solutions and debugging on-site in industrial environments.

The role requires strong PLC programming fundamentals, experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Schneider platforms, and knowledge of industrial protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text
• Hands-on experience with PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider)
• Industrial communication protocols mandatory: Modbus RTU/TCP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet/IP, CAN/CANopen
• Understanding of HMI/SCADA integration
• Basic knowledge of electrical control panels and sensors/actuators
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience with TIA Portal, Studio 5000, EcoStruxure and networking tools is a plus
• Familiarity with OPC UA / MQTT is a plus

We are seeking a motivated Junior Automation Engineer (PLC) to support design, development, and commissioning of industrial automation systems. The candidate should have strong fundamentals in PLC programming and a solid understanding of industrial communication protocols. This role involves working closely with senior engineers to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and debug PLC programs for industrial automation systems
• Assist in commissioning and on-site support of automation projects
• Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in control systems
• Support electrical wiring checks, IO mapping, and panel testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text preferred)
