Job summary

Leading German based MNC in Vadodara seeks an Automation Engineer to develop, test, and commission PLC, HMI and SCADA systems. The role involves reviewing P&ID drawings, preparing specification documents, and ensuring seamless integration between software and hardware components.

You will coordinate with internal teams and workshop staff during assembly, testing, and handover, with readiness for global site commissioning as required.

• Review control panel design drawings including SLDs and electrical lists.

• Travel to global sites for commissioning as needed.

Role & responsibilities

• As a Automation Engineer, he/she must be able to develop independently and test the machine PLC, HMI & SCADA software. Expertise level should be more than 90%.
• Should be able to understand and review P&ID drawing along with process.
• Should be able to prepare, develop and review Functional design specifications (FDS), Software Design Specification (SDS), Device Configuration List (DCL) & Instrument Schedule list (IS), etc.
• Review Hardware Design Specification (HDS), Control panel design understanding (SLD/Electrical Drawings) including components list, PLC I/O list, cable schedule, tubing schedule etc.
• To understand combination of software design specifications and hardware design specifications.
• Perform Control panel FAT at panel supplier independently.
• To develop Software Integration Test documents and perform tests as per Software Integration Test Plans.
• Co-ordination with Automation internal team, Project team & Workshop team during equipment/machine assembly, and machine testing at workshop once machine is ready & handed over by workshop team, also workshop coordination during dispatch of machine.
• To resolve technical issues independently.
• To perform equipment/machine FAT in front of customers.
• Ready to go to Global sites for commissioning of pharma machines and can independently perform machine Operational qualification in front of customer. Traveling should not be concern.
• To support customer or Service team remotely for equipment commissioning & troubleshooting.
• Should have hands-on experience on modification the Software during testing and maintain record (Software Issue Record) for same.
• Preferably from Pharmaceutical Background.
