Job summary

Valmet Corporation in Pune, India, is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our PAC Machines AE India Engineering team. You will develop automation logic, support FAT and commissioning, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality automation solutions for pulp, paper, and packaging industries.

You will work across project lifecycles, read schematics and control drawings, and travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
• You have 4–7 years of experience in industrial automation across related process industries.
• You can read P&IDs / electrical schematics and understand Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program automation logic using Valmet DNA/MCS solutions.
• Plan software scope with engineers and align delivery with contracts.
• Collaborate with design, production and site teams to meet milestones and manage risks.
• Support FAT, installation, commissioning, start-ups and on-site testing.
• Troubleshoot and optimize software/hardware; maintain project docs and safety standards.
