Job summary

Capco, a Wipro company, is recruiting an Automation QA Engineer in Bengaluru to drive test automation across financial services projects. You will work with TestComplete and Python to build robust automation solutions, integrate with Jira and Git, and contribute to the Software Testing Life Cycle.

The role requires 5–10 years of QA experience, strong debugging skills, and the ability to work with CI/CD pipelines in enterprise-scale applications.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in software QA and testing.
• Hands-on experience with TestComplete automation tool.
• Proficiency in Python programming for test automation.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines (Git/Bitbucket/Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Design and implement scalable automation solutions from scratch.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release cycles.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure quality.

Role Description:

Job Title: Automation Engineer

Automation QA Engineer (TestComplete & Python)
Required Skills 5-10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing. Strong hands‑on experience with TestComplete automation tool. Proficiency in Python programming for test automation. Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Quality Assurance methodologies. Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch. Knowledge of SQL for database validation and testing. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology. Experience working with version control and source code management tools such as Git and Bitbucket. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and continuous testing practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills Exposure to Capital Markets or Financial Services domain is an added advantage. Understanding of trading, investment, or financial systems will be beneficial. Experience with API testing tools and frameworks. Exposure to enterprise DevOps practices using Git, Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience working in enterprise-scale applications.
