Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a 2D Design Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to work collaboratively with mechanical, process, and project engineers in the development of comprehensive 2D drawings for water and energy projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing piping diagrams, updating drawings based on engineering inputs, and knowledge of CAD tools. This role is crucial in ensuring quality and accuracy in our design process.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) is essential.
• Basic knowledge of 2D equipment layout preparation is a must.
• Ability to compare PFD and PID with vendor documents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update drawings based on engineering inputs.
• Incorporate vendor drawing information into P&IDs and PFDs.
• Work with discipline engineers on water and wastewater projects.

Skills

Experience in preparing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)

Basic knowledge on preparation of 2D equipment layout

Overview

Job Requirements The 2D Design Engineer is responsible for working with the discipline engineers including mechanical, process, and project engineers in the development of 2D drawings for water, wastewater treatment or energy projects in proposals and execution stage.

Work Experience

Must Have Requirements

• Essential Responsibilities: Experience in preparing Piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), Process flow diagrams (PFD), Block flow diagrams (BFD), using AutoCAD 2D

Essential Responsibilities

• Updation of drawings based on redlines, vendor drawings information incorporation in P&IDs, PFDs, etc.
• Basic knowledge on preparation of 2D equipment layout, HFD development from equipment list
• Ability to understand & incorporate Process Engineers inputs and communicate with them effectively
• Ability to compare PFD, PID with Vendor documents is preferred
• Has good understanding on tagging philosophy, styles and standards

Good To Have Requirements

• Ability to work with additional CAD tools like AVEVA P&ID, BIM, ACC, Smart P&ID, eBASE etc. will be useful
• Experience working on 3D tools like Solidworks, Plant 3D for layout development will be added advantage but not mandatory
• Experience in reviewing P&IDs, layouts for water treatment plants or oil and gas projects from CAD perspective
• Ability to participate in global design reviews, customer meetings
• Ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies
• Knowledge on design tools, international codes and standards – ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS, etc.
