Job summary

Citrin Cooperman India LLP seeks an experienced audit professional to perform and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations under US GAAP/GAAS. You will prepare financial statements, evaluate internal controls, and coordinate planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up across diverse industries.

The position requires CPA (or in progress) or CA with 3–5 years of public accounting experience, strong communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• CPA (or in progress) or CA with 3–5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or US auditing CPA firm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including responsiveness to US offices.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well independently and with others.
• Approaches projects with a sense of urgency; strong analytical ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of Caseware/CaseView/IDEA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for US GAAP/US GAAS.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls.
• Coordinate day-to-day planning, fieldwork and wrap-up activities.
• Understand accounting and reporting standards under United States GAAP.
• Independently research US GAAP & US GAAS as needed.
• Develop time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet deadlines.
• Mentor, train and supervise junior staff.
• Contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions.
• Communicate work status and client issues to Supervisor/Manager/Director.

Job description

Responsibilities Includes, but not Limited to:

• Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries under US GAAP and US GAAS


• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls


• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap- up


• Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards generally accepted in United State


• Able to do US GAAP & US GAAS research independently


• Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines


• Mentor, train and supervise lighter level staff


• Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel


• Communicate with Supervisor/ Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise
