Job summary

Bahwan Cybertek Group in Chennai seeks a qualified CA/CPA to lead in-charge duties on small to mid-size audit engagements. You will execute audit procedures, supervise associates, and help complete engagements within budget and deadlines.

You will develop understanding of US GAAP/GAAS, plan engagements, research technical issues, and ensure quality documentation. Strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA with audit experience on small to mid-size engagements.
• Experience leading audit procedures and supervising associates.
• Ability to manage budgets and deadlines; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute audit procedures in complex financial statement areas.
• Develop understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and industry-specific accounting principles.
• Perform engagement planning and risk assessment activities.
• Research technical accounting issues and propose solutions.
• Supervise and review work of junior staff; provide feedback and training.
• Prepare draft financial statements and note disclosures.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted timely.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Monitor project budgets and deadlines.
• Support professional development plans and pursue CPA licensure.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting.
• Experience with audit software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and mentor team members on multiple engagements.
• Understanding of transaction cycles and business processes.
• Exposure to industries such as Insurance, SEC, government, or non-profits is a plus.
