Job summary

Citrin Cooperman India LLP is seeking a qualified audit professional to perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries under US GAAP and US GAAS. The role focuses on planning, fieldwork and wrap-up, with emphasis on understanding US accounting standards.

Candidates should hold a CA or CPA, or be in process, with 3-5 years in a public accounting or US auditing firm.

• Coordinate day-to-day planning, fieldwork and wrap-up activities.
• Develop time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet deadlines.
• Mentor and supervise lighter level staff while maintaining client relationships.
• Communicate work status and client issues to Supervisor/Manager/Director.

Job description

• Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries under US GAAP and US GAAS.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls.
• Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap- up.
• Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards generally accepted in United States.
• Able to do US GAAP & US GAAS research independently.
• Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines.
• Mentor, train and supervise lighter level staff.
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.
• Communicate with Supervisor/ Manager and/or Director on work status and client issues that arise

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• CPA (or in process) or CA with 3-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm or US auditing CPA firm.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including responsiveness to US Offices.
• Strong organizational skills & multi-tasking abilities are required.
