UBS Group AG is seeking an experienced auditor to lead GCFO audits across Group Finance and Group Treasury. You will assess risks, challenge internal controls, and deliver data-driven insights.

• Degree in Finance or related field.
• Chartered Accountant certification.
• 10+ years of experience in financial accounting standards and controls (IFRS, US or Swiss GAAP) and/or regulatory reporting requirements and Treasury controls.
• Experience with finance and/or treasury functions preferred.
• Recent experience managing/leading audits, compliance reviews, or a team.
• Certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CISSP are a plus.
• Experience with data analytics and AI; coding or analytics experience preferred.
• Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives (Finance Change) and risk assessment.
• Ability to build relationships across functions, cultures, and seniority levels.
• Committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging risks and regulatory developments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex topics clearly.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for an intellectually curious auditor, with prior knowledge and experience in Finance or Treasury to:

• Lead the planning and execution of GCFO audits, issue assurance and risk assessment to generate meaningful and value-added insights in Group Finance and Group Treasury.
• Effectively challenge the firm’s risk management and control environment, leveraging experience and sound judgement, and where relevant develop audit issues and reports in line with internal reporting and issue disposition standards.
• Lead and support audit teams in meeting our internal standards for the quality, execution and documentation of work, taking account of legal entity coverage expectations, where required.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues and relevant stakeholders at all levels including senior management.
• Monitor audit results, risk profile and developments within Group Finance and Group Treasury; provide input to operational planning.
• Use AI and data analytics to enhance audit work, and partner with our Data Analytics & Innovation team to develop and execute data-driven testing and insights
• Lead and support our local team as an inclusive and empowering people leader, coaching and mentoring team member, fostering collaboration, and enabling growth, shared accountability and high performance.

The team

You’ll be part of Group Internal Audit, an independent function that safeguards and strengthens our firm. Working with multidisciplinary teams that blend business knowledge, subject matter expertise and capabilities in data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI), you’ll assess how the firm’s governance, processes and controls operate. You’ll identify opportunities to enhance risk management and help drive improvements that advance our strategic goals. You’ll work in the Group CFO team covering Group Finance or Group Treasury functions.

Your Skills And Experience

• A degree level education in Finance or related field.
• Chartered Accountant certification
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in financial accounting standards and controls (e.g. IFRS, US or Swiss GAAP, including Operational risk within Group Finance), and/or regulatory reporting requirements and Treasury controls (e.g. capital adequacy, liquidity, IRRBB).
• Experience with finance and/or treasury functions is strongly preferred.
• Recent experience managing/leading audits, compliance reviews, or a team.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or CISSP are a plus
• Experience and the ability to review and challenge code for quality, logic and associated control risks, would be highly advantageous.
• Familiar with using data analytics and AI, consistently applying critical thinking to interrogate data, validate insights, and assess AI outputs. Any experience with coding, or building analytics is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting and auditing finance transformation initiatives (e.g., Finance Change), with the ability to assess risks, challenge control design, and provide assurance over large-scale regulatory and strategic programs
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across functions, cultures, and seniority levels
• Committed to continuous learning and staying current with emerging risks and regulatory developments
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear and concise messages
