Job summary

Saboo Rks Motors is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to conduct comprehensive audits of financial records, invoices, and inventory across our automobile branches. The role involves verifying sales invoices, reconciling cash and bank transactions, and ensuring compliance with GST and TDS regulations.

You will collaborate with Sales, Service, Spare Parts, and Finance teams to address discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and maintain robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of auditing experience, preferably in automobile audits.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation.
• Proven ability to verify invoices, vouchers, receipts, and payments.
• Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Willingness to travel within the city across branches for auditing.
• Experience with sales docket verification and job card verification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal audits of financial records, invoices, vouchers, receipts, and payment transactions.
• Verify vehicle sales invoices, customer payments, discounts, credit notes, and dealer incentives.
• Audit purchase bills, vendor payments, expense claims, and journal entries.
• Verify daily cash collections, petty cash transactions, and bank reconciliations.
• Check customer advances, outstanding balances, refunds, and cancelled vehicle bookings.
• Conduct physical verification of new vehicles, used vehicles, spare parts, and other inventory.
• Reconcile physical stock with ERP/DMS records and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Verify vehicle chassis numbers, engine numbers, stock transfers, and delivery documentation.
• Audit workshop job cards, service invoices, labour charges, and customer billing.
• Verify spare parts purchases, sales, consumption, returns, and stock adjustments.
• Review warranty claims, insurance claims, and manufacturer reimbursements.
• Check GST, TDS, tax invoices, and other applicable statutory compliance requirements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, approval processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify financial discrepancies, revenue leakages, operational risks, and potential irregularities.
• Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, discrepancies, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Service, Spare Parts, Finance, and Accounts teams to resolve audit findings.
• Follow up with concerned departments to ensure timely implementation of corrective measures.
• Maintain audit working papers, supporting documents, and records for management review.
• Assist in external audits, statutory audits, and other management reviews as required.
• Recommend improvements in internal controls and business processes to minimise financial and operational losses.

4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

5. Qualification B.COM(Commerce)/MBA.

6. Willingness to travel within the city across all our branches for auditing.
