Job summary

JARS is seeking an audit professional to independently handle statutory, internal, and tax audits for a diverse client base including technology startups, manufacturing, and services. The role covers cross-border India-US engagements and requires strong knowledge of Ind AS and the Companies Act.

The candidate will plan, execute, and supervise audits, draft reports, and liaise with client teams to resolve queries, while mentoring articled trainees and supporting transfer pricing tasks.

Qualifications

• CA qualified, or CA dropout with post-articleship audit experience.
• 4–5 years of hands-on audit experience in mid-size or Big 4/6 firms.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, and auditing standards.
• Proficiency with audit tools/ERP systems (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent drafting and client communication skills; ability to manage multiple audits independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute statutory audits under the Companies Act, including CARO 2020 reporting.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare IFC documentation.
• Handle tax audits under the Income Tax Act and draft audit reports and notes.
• Review and finalize financial statements including CFS reconciliations.
• Supervise articled trainees and assist in GST audits and transfer pricing as needed.

Job description

We're looking for an audit professional to independently handle statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits for a diverse client base spanning technology startups, manufacturing, and service sector companies, including cross-border India-US engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute statutory audits under the Companies Act, including CARO 2020 reporting
• Conduct internal audits and prepare Internal Financial Controls (IFC) documentation
• Handle tax audits under the Income Tax Act- Draft audit reports, management letters, and financial statement notes in compliance with Ind AS/Schedule III- Liaise directly with client finance teams to resolve audit queries
• Review and finalize financial statements, including CFS reconciliations
• Supervise and review work of articled trainees- Support GST audits and related compliance where required- Assist in transfer pricing and other advisory assignments as needed

Requirements

• CA qualified, or CA dropout (cleared Inter, substantial articleship in audit) with demonstrated post-articleship audit experience
• 4–5 years of hands‑on audit experience, ideally across mid-size or Big 4/6 firms
• Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, Companies Act, Standards on Auditing-
• Proficiency with audit tools/ERP systems (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Excellent drafting and client communication skills- Ability to manage multiple audit assignments and deadlines independently
