Job summary

SEMIENG is seeking an experienced Multimedia/Audio Developer to design and implement embedded software for audio processing. The role requires strong C/C++ skills and hands-on work with RTOS environments, interrupts, and real-time tasks.

You will work with OpenMax, SOF, and ALSA frameworks to develop audio streaming features and ensure protocol compliance for IIS/TDM/PCM. The candidate should be proficient in reading schematics and datasheets, and capable of creating clear design documents using

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in multimedia/audio embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming and analytical skills.
• Experience with RTOS, interrupts, and task scheduling.
• Knowledge of OpenMax, SOF, and ALSA audio frameworks.
• Familiarity with IIS, TDM, PCM audio protocols.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets; create design docs.

Job Description:

Skill Set we are looking for

• Strong in programming and analytical skills - fluent with C and C++
• Understanding of embedded systems – RTOS, interrupts, tasks etc
• Familiarity with Audio streaming frameworks like OpenMax, SOF, ALSA
• Knowledge of Audio protocols IIS, TDM, PCM
• Knows to use CRO, Logic Analyzer, Audio Precision tools
• Understands schematics and datasheets
• Usage of CI/CD, git, cmake for development tasks and unit tests.
• Familiarity with Visio or any UML diagram creator for communicating and creating design docs.
