Job description

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Solution Architect with 12+ years of IT experience and extensive knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management (JSM), cloud migration, and solution development. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, technical expertise, and guidance to development teams and customers while ensuring best practices are followed for effective implementation.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Implementation:
  • Architect end-to-end solutions using Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, JSM) based on customer requirements.
  • Lead the planning and execution of Atlassian cloud migration projects, ensuring a seamless transition from on-premises or server environments to the Atlassian Cloud.
  • Develop and customize solutions using Atlassian tools to optimize workflows, improve productivity, and enhance collaboration.
• Customer Interaction and Requirement Gathering:
  • Engage with customers to gather and understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and solution presentations to explain Atlassian features, benefits, and best-fit approaches.
  • Provide technical support to clients, guiding them through complex challenges related to implementation, customization, and cloud migration.
• Technical Leadership and Best Practices:
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to developers during solution development, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Define, document, and promote Atlassian best practices and governance, ensuring solutions are scalable and maintainable.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, support, and product management, to drive solution quality and customer satisfaction.
• Process Improvement and Automation:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Atlassian products.
  • Design and implement CI/CD processes, automation scripts, and integrations to enhance development and service efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest Atlassian capabilities and trends, providing proactive recommendations for solution optimization.

Requirements

• Experience: 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of experience working extensively with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and Jira Service Management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in Atlassian cloud migration, solution architecture, and development.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian customization, add-ons, scripting, and automation using tools such as Script Runner, REST APIs, and automation rules.
  • Familiarity with AWS/ Devops concepts, Marketplace plug-ins, CI/CD, ITSM, and Agile development practices.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP).
  • ITIL certification is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence customers at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing value-driven solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of solution development, and mentor other team members.
