Job Description
JKKN Institutions invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor – Radio Imaging Technology. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, supporting clinical and practical learning, contributing to curriculum development, and fostering innovation and research in the field of medical imaging.
The role requires an educator who can integrate AI-enabled technologies, digital imaging, emerging diagnostic technologies, and evidence-based practices into teaching and learning. The candidate will also contribute to research, student mentoring, clinical training, and the overall academic development of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to Radio Imaging Technology and Medical Imaging.
- Plan and deliver engaging, technology-enabled lectures, laboratory sessions, demonstrations, and practical classes.
- Integrate Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, digital imaging, and emerging healthcare technologies into teaching and academic activities.
- Develop, review, and continuously enhance course content, lesson plans, practical manuals, and curriculum in alignment with industry and healthcare requirements.
- Facilitate hands-on training in radiographic and imaging procedures while emphasizing patient safety, radiation protection, and professional ethics.
- Guide and supervise students during clinical training, internships, case-based learning, and practical experiences.
- Encourage students to use AI-enabled learning tools responsibly for academic research, clinical reasoning, and professional development.
- Conduct research in medical imaging, radiological sciences, AI in healthcare, image processing, diagnostic technology, or related areas.
- Publish research findings in reputed peer-reviewed journals and contribute to conferences, seminars, workshops, and academic forums.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, research projects, career development, and professional competencies.
- Collaborate with clinicians, radiologists, healthcare professionals, technology experts, and industry partners to strengthen experiential learning.
- Participate in departmental, institutional, accreditation, quality-assurance, and interdisciplinary academic activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching methodologies through innovative and outcome-based education.
- Support the development of an AI-enabled, future-ready learning environment within the department.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Radio Imaging Technology / Radiology and Imaging Technology / Medical Imaging Technology or an equivalent relevant discipline.
- Ph.D. in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Relevant academic, clinical, or industry experience in medical imaging/radiological sciences.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, imaging modalities, radiation safety, and clinical practices.
- Familiarity with AI applications in medical imaging, digital radiography, image processing, or healthcare technology will be an advantage.
- Strong commitment to teaching, research, innovation, and student development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary academic and healthcare environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging technologies in healthcare education.
