Job summary
Sushine Exports Private Limited in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an Asst Manager, Software Testing & Technical Documentation to own QA across web and API testing and maintain product docs. You’ll sign off on releases, write clear docs, and push engineering toward higher quality before shipping.
The candidate will build test plans, coordinate real user testing, and establish SOPs to create factori.com's first formal testing and documentation function.
Qualifications
- Hands-on QA/manual testing across web applications and APIs - you can write a test case, execute it, and file a bug report that an engineer can act on without three follow-up questions.
- Working knowledge of API testing - Postman or equivalent, comfortable with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP status codes. You don't need to write code, but you need to read a response and know if it's wrong.
- Strong technical writing - you can document a feature or an API in plain language that a new engineer and a non-technical teammate can both use.
- Obsessive attention to detail - you catch the thing everyone else scrolled past.
- The spine to say "not ready" - including to engineering, including under deadline pressure.

We are looking for the person who becomes the last checkpoint before anything ships. Someone who tests the way a real user would, who tests the way an API contract demands, who writes documentation clean enough that a new engineer or a non-technical teammate can both use it - and who is comfortable telling engineering "this isn't ready" even under release pressure.

- Build test plans and test cases for every new feature and release across factori.com's platforms - retailing.factori.com and our internal CRM, ops, and partner-facing tools.
- Run functional, regression, and user-acceptance testing before every release goes live - not after customers find the bugs.
- Coordinate real user testing with retailers, CSMs, and internal teams ahead of major releases, and route their feedback back into the fix queue.
- Test every REST API - request/response contracts, error handling, edge cases, status codes - using Postman or an equivalent tool.
- Validate that integrations between our platforms and partner/vendor systems actually hold up under real conditions, not just the happy path.
- Own a formal go/no-go sign-off before anything reaches a customer. If it's not tested and documented, it doesn't ship.
- Log, prioritise, and drive every bug to closure with engineering - using a proper bug tracker, not a WhatsApp thread.
- Own and maintain documentation for every application and platform we release - what it does, how it works, API specs, release notes, known issues.
- Take this responsibility fully off the CEO's desk: documentation should exist because you wrote it, not because he did.
- There is no formal testing or documentation process at factori.com today - you're building it, not inheriting it.
- Set up the SOPs, checklists, and cadence that make testing and documentation a habit for the engineering team, not an afterthought for you to chase.

- Exposure to automation/testing tools (Selenium, Postman collections + Newman, Cypress, or similar) - not required, but a real plus.
- Experience testing e-commerce, D2C, or marketplace platforms.
- Familiarity with a bug tracker and a documentation tool (Jira/Linear/ClickUp; Confluence/Notion).
- Basic SQL, for validating data rather than taking a screen's word for it.
- You'd rather find the bug than explain why it slipped through.
- You document as you go - not two weeks later, from memory.
- You ship confidence, not blame. The goal is fewer bugs reaching customers, not a scoreboard of who broke what.
- You build the process, you don't just follow one - because right now, there isn't one.
- Up to ₹6 LPA CTC, basis qualifications, experience and current CTC.
- Reports directly to the Founder & CEO - real visibility, real authority to say no to a release.
