Job summary

Hydro Prokav Pumps, part of Ingersoll Rand, a leading PCP manufacturer and exporter, is based in Coimbatore, India. The role focuses on costing, planning and timely project completion, leveraging ERP systems and strong supplier communication to drive operational efficiency across the supply chain.

The candidate will manage PR to PO, ensure on-time delivery of castings, machining and fabrication, and negotiate with suppliers to optimize pricing and lead times while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering (FT preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
• Experience with manufacturing processes including casting, machining, bar conversion and fabrication.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Convert PR to PO and track POs to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure on-time delivery of castings, machining, bar conversion, fabrication and subcontract processes.
• Maintain supplier OTD and quality ratings to meet department goals.
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve lead times and pricing for regular supplies.
• Monitor market trends to adjust pricing as needed.
• Identify alternate suppliers or processes for better pricing and delivery.
• Manage end-to-end transactions until part acceptance and payment.
• Collaborate with OEMs/dealers to secure right price and delivery against specs.

Education

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering

Job Summary:

Responsible for costing workout, negotiation and timely project completion. Proficient in planning for results, ERP systems, casting machining, managing bought-out purchases, ensuring effective communication and driving operational efficiency in supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for PR to PO conversion and tracking PO s to ensure Timely delivery.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of castings & machining, bar conversion, Fabrication and subcontract process in meeting production schedule
• Ensure supplier OTD and Quality rating to meet departmental objectives to keep inventory intact
• Development of new components as required and negotiation with suppliers for delivery lead time and right pricing for regular supplies
• Monitoring commodity / market trends to arrive at the price corrections
• To identify alternative suppliers / process to arrive at better pricing and deliveries
• Responsible for end-to-end transactions till part acceptance and payment
• Engaging with the right OEMs / dealers in arriving at the right price and meeting the required delivery with clear understanding of the spec and its adherence

Basic Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering (preferably FT)
• 10 - 15 years of experience in manufacturing Industry
• Manufacturing process and costing knowledge - especially in casting / machining, bar conversion, and Fabrication; with basic understanding on the proprietary parts
• Experience in various engineering materials and market pricings
• Effective communication with suppliers towards the achievement of business goals
• Proficiency in MS office / ERP tools.
