- 1. Production Management & Efficiency Consistently achieve line efficiency targets and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials. Lead, guide, motivate, and strengthen the production team to achieve daily production plans and agreed production norms. Monitor daily production activities and ensure achievement of output targets within specified timelines. Own and deliver departmental KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity, and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
- 2. Productivity Improvement & Industrial Engineering Reduce production losses through MOST Study, Method Study, Operator Activity Study, and Micro-Motion Study. Analyze workflow and implement productivity improvement initiatives to optimize cycle time and resource utilization. Drive continuous improvement projects focused on operational excellence. Minimize production downtime through systematic downtime analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Improve machine availability through TPM activities and effective coordination with the maintenance team. Implement corrective and preventive measures related to Man, Machine, Material, and Method (4M).
- 3. Quality & Cost Improvement Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and support departments to reduce in-process PPM and improve process capability. Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels and implement corrective actions to reduce quality losses. Ensure adherence to customer-specific quality requirements and internal quality standards.
- 4. Continuous Improvement Promote and implement Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and Waste Elimination initiatives. Drive value‑added activities and support cost reduction projects across production processes. Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- 5. Production Planning & Material Coordination Prepare and review daily and weekly production plans based on customer schedules and organizational requirements. Coordinate with feeder shops and relevant departments to ensure JIT availability of materials. Review stock of Finished Goods (FG), Work-in-Progress (WIP), and pending customer orders for effective planning. Ensure generation of work orders and issue slips as per the production plan. Monitor material usage against BOM and investigate deviations with appropriate documentation.
- 6. Inventory & Dispatch Coordination Follow up on material shortages with Purchase and Stores departments to avoid production interruptions. Coordinate with Marketing and Dispatch teams for timely dispatch of finished goods. Ensure compliance with JIT, JIS, FIFO, and customer delivery requirements.
- 7. ERP & System Management Ensure accurate implementation and usage of ERP systems in production planning and execution. Verify production transactions, material consumption, work order closure, and inventory records within ERP. Provide ERP-related guidance and on-the-job training to team members.
- 8. Training & Team Development Conduct training for new employees, operators, and trainees on production processes, quality requirements, safety standards, and work instructions. Develop team competency through continuous skill enhancement initiatives. Maintain discipline, safety awareness, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- 9. Quality Management System & Compliance Maintain working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and related production documentation. Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and audit requirements. Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
