Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in steel plants or heavy industries.
• Practical knowledge of utility systems, pollution‑control equipment, and industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving, coordination, planning, and team‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead central mechanical maintenance activities for utility systems and mechanical equipment.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Plan and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Breakdown Maintenance.
• Prepare and execute annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance through MTBF, MTTR, availability, and maintenance cost analysis.
• Investigate recurring breakdowns and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, Projects, Safety, and Quality departments.
• Ensure effective manpower deployment based on equipment criticality and maintenance requirements.
• Review maintenance performance and drive continuous improvement through regular review meetings.

Job Summary
