Job summary

Search Advisers Services Guj in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, is seeking a Chemical Engineer to lead technology transfer and process engineering for API manufacturing, with responsibility for scale-up assessment, what-if studies, and preparation of transfer documents.

You will perform HazOp/PHA studies, develop CapEx packages, PFDs and P&IDs, support cost reduction trials, and collaborate with R&D and production to improve quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

Chemical engineer with API manufacturing tech transfer experience.
Experience in process engineering for API scale-up and transfer to manufacturing.
Familiar with HazOp/PHA studies and safety measures.
Ability to prepare CapEx documents and basic engineering packages.
Experience with cost reduction experiments and data analysis.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for technology transfer of assigned projects.
To prepare and review the necessary technology transfer documents
Requires to evaluate the lab process with respect to scale up factors and to conduct what-if experiments.
Requires to prepare and review scale up calculation appropriately to take decision on the technology transfer project
To conduct HazOp/PHA studies for technology transfer projects and establish necessary safety measures during process execution
To produce material and energy balance calculation to understand the process cost
To identify the area of improvement in the manufacturing process with respect to cost and quality.
To assess the capacity of the manufacturing process and to propose the capacity enhancement plan.
To prepare CapEx documents and basic engineering packages whenever required.
To conduct cost reduction process trials in lab and co-ordinate with R&D for cost reduction process trials,
To monitor validation batches and to generate datas for archival
To support Production in investigating Product failures/deviations and take necessary corrections, corrective actions and preventive actions.
To Support problem solving when manufacturing issues related to Process Engineering arise such as equipment selection, process mapping, utility calculations, PFD and P&ID preparation.
To establish solvent and catalyst recovery processes and implement recycling of solvents and catalysts in manufacturing of commercial as well as new API products and improvement in the in-process recoveries of solvents and work closely with the SRP team for improvement in existing solvent recoveries.
